Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Short version: this site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. It stores two or three small values in your own browser so the page behaves sensibly, and it loads fonts from Google. That is all.

1. Why you are not seeing a cookie banner

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require websites to get your consent before storing or reading information on your device — unless that storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for. Everything this site stores falls into that strictly necessary category, and we do not run analytics or advertising technology, so there is no consent to collect and no banner to click away.

If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will add a proper consent banner that asks you first and lets you say no, and we will update this page before doing so.

2. What this site actually stores

We do not currently set any traditional cookies of our own. We do use your browser’s built-in session storage and local storage, which work like cookies but are never sent to our server — the information stays on your own device.

NameTypeWhat it doesHow long it lasts
mm_guide_pop Session storage Remembers that you have closed the free-guide pop-up, so it does not reappear on every page view during the same visit. Until you close the browser tab
clab Session storage Only set if you open the site’s internal colour-preview tool via a special link. Not used in normal browsing. Until you close the browser tab
clabColour Local storage Stores a colour chosen in that same internal preview tool. Not used in normal browsing. Until cleared in your browser

None of these identify you, and none of them are shared with anyone.

3. Third-party services on this site

Google Fonts

The typefaces used on this site are served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and basic technical information such as your browser and operating system. Google states that Google Fonts does not set cookies and does not use the request data for advertising or profiling. You can read more in Google’s Fonts privacy FAQ.

Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes requests to keep the site available and protected from attacks, and keeps short-lived server logs which include IP addresses. Cloudflare may set a security cookie on some configurations to identify malicious traffic; where set, that cookie is strictly necessary for security and contains no information that identifies you personally.

Links out to other sites

If you follow a link from here to another website — a social media profile, a payment page or a scheduling tool, for example — that site sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those, so please check the policy on the site you land on.

4. How to control browser storage

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser at any time. Blocking storage from this site will not break it, though the free-guide pop-up may reappear on each page you visit.

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which clears all site storage when you close it.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, but since we do not track visitors across websites in the first place, our behaviour is the same either way.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add or remove anything that stores information on your device, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
